Have a few adults or older kids help get all the kids in uniform, convince them to act as serious army captains, drill instructors, etc. Here are some great homemade army-themed costumes:. Take a look at all the coolest homemade Military-themed costumes. Then, you can paint their faces with green, black and brown face paints so that they look and feel like real soldiers. You can also put some Army tattoos on them. Another nice addition is putting band-aids on their face, hands, legs, etc.
With your phone or a digital camera take a picture of each camouflaged soldier saluting and either print them to hand out at the end of the party or send them the pictures with the thank you cards.
While you are waiting for everyone to arrive, the kids can create their own army tags. Before the party cut out lots of rectangles out of cardboard, then put them all on a table and beside them add little pieces of aluminum foil. You might be planning to have a fun water balloon fight during game-time!! Get the kids hyped up about it by letting them make lots of water balloons while waiting for everyone to come. You might need a few big buckets to hold all the water balloons. Depending on the country you are from, the kids can create little flags.
Before the party, cut strips out of white and red construction paper and border out a square on the left-hand side of every blue piece of construction paper that will be where the kids will put star stickers. At the party, the kids take a blue piece of construction paper and start gluing on red and white stripes onto the blue construction paper. They then take the star stickers and put them in the blue-assigned square on the left-hand side. Later, the kids can put their flags in their goody bags.
This is a really fun and simple theme party game. Have lots of black balloons blown up, and in 30 seconds time all of the kids try and detonate as many bombs balloons as they could by squashing them in a seat. Kids love folding paper into airplanes and flying them so do adults! Have the kids make paper airplanes and see whose plane flies the farthest by marking where each plane lands. At the party assign a table with color pencils, crayons, markers, etc.
An adult can also help show how to fold different kinds of paper airplanes. You can either photograph each child with a Polaroid or digital camera or ask each child to bring a passport picture. This list of games is growing everyday, so check back often.
Or if you figure out a new "Batman" themed game, please send it in so we can share it with the rest of the world. First, make sure you select games you think your child will love and pick some back-ups, just in case.
Next, setup a schedule of events before the party on which games will be played, what order and a time limit. Hopefully these tips will help reduce your party stress and allow you to enjoy the party. So have fun at the Ultimate Party! Divide the soldiers into two teams; line the teams up next to each other.
Put a bucket full of water at the head of each line and give the first person in each line a large cup full of water. Place an empty bucket for each team about 35 ft away. They should pass off the cup to the next teammate who fills the cup, runs to the bucket, pours the water in it and brings the cup back for the next player.
When each team member has run down and back the game is over. To see which team has carried the most water down, insert sticks into each bucket and compare the water lines. Next you are going to need a Drill Sergeant.
Any volunteers? Oh yes, we have the honorary Mom and Dad. Try and dress up with a hat, sunglasses and shaved head. To play the game, the Drill Sergeant will give commands like: Drill Sergeant Says run for 10 seconds! This game is recommended for kids over the age of seven. Most kids have never peeled potatoes, but the Special Forces are legendary for having cooks who peel hundreds of pounds of potatoes in one day!!
Give each kid a safe-grip potato peeler and a big potato, and see who can get the job done the fastest! This is one of the most hilarious Army birthday party games and can also be played with two teams competing against each other. Also, you can photograph each kid peeling potatoes and then print out the photos to give out as thank-you notes for the party. Sounds like a great game.. Tie a rope to a large tree make sure the knot is super tight.
This is one of the classic birthday party games. You can also get the adults to help with tugging. Just get a long rope and possibly put a plastic swimming pool with water between the teams. You can also place the swimming pool in really wet mud, that way the kids get wet, and dirty!
This is a great way to get the kids to interact. Have the kids take balloons one by one, pop them and fill out the instructions. While all this theme party action is taking place, parents can blow whistles, squirt the kids with water guns and throw water balloons at them. Make sure you have course-completion medals.
Prepare camouflage bean bags grenades and have the kids throw them at cans filled with a little bit of sand or dirt, or into trash cans or chalk-painted circles on the driveway. Most points wins. Split the group up into two teams, each team gets a color. Favor bags were stuffed with MRE [Meals Ready to Eat], sour war heads, personalized dog tags, camo bandana, and much more! Luka and I were excited to find this ammo crate at the Army surplus and it definitely served its time in a combat zone!
Another cool detail that the birthday boy loved was the camouflage cupcakes! Not only were they frosted with camo icing, I made the cake batter camo too!
