Home College College Basketball. SI Recommends. Member Exclusive. Michigan is off to its best start under Jim Harbaugh, winning each of its first seven games to start the campaign. The Wolverines destroyed Northwestern at home in its last time out, holding the Wildcats to just seven points en route to a comfortable victory.
Earlier in the year, Michigan scraped by against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on the road, beating an inferior Nebraska team by just three points. While the game ended with a Cade McNamara interception, times were desperate and he tried to make something happen. He'd been spectacular on the day before it. He threw for yards and two touchdowns, showing both touch on deep balls as well as zip and accuracy on shorter throws.
It was the best performance I can recall seeing from a Michigan quarterback in the last few years. While this loss stings and hurts Michigan's chances in the Big Ten, oddly enough, I'm more confident in this team's ability to beat Ohio State now than I was before the game. Michigan State beats Michigan in a top thrilled that lived up to all the hype. McNamara's pass to Blake Corum is incomplete. The Wolverines are looking for a flag, but they'll be looking for a while cuz it isn't coming.

No guts, no glory. Michigan goes for it on 4th and 4 at its 35 and picks up seven yards and a first down. He's done it again.
This one from 23 yards out and Michigan State has a lead with left to play. Walker has clinched a trip to New York for the Heisman ceremony today. Jim Harbaugh is going through it pic.
